Fairfield Sedona lies like a gateway to the spectacular Red Rock Country of Arizona. Its magnificent and brilliant towering spires, pinnacles and mesas are a far cry from the flat desert sometimes associated with the area. At the Flagstaff Sedona Resort, guests will enjoy a game room, picnic and barbecue area, outdoor swimming pool, and "Get Out and Play" activities program. The one-bedroom suites have a king bed in the master bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The two-bedroom suites have a king bed in the master bedroom, two full beds in the guest bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living room. Both unit types have full kitchens. | Area Attractions
Thanks to its 4,500-foot elevation, Sedona is an ideal four-season resort with cool summers and mild winters. This small city is also known for its high-quality art galleries and shops, featuring the best authentic Native American crafts along with some of America's most unique contemporary art forms. To the north, spring-fed Oak Creek Canyon winds through richly forested canyon walls. To the west lie the mysteries of Boynton Canyon with its Red Mountains and strange wind-swept stone formations. The must-see when staying at this resort is the Grand Canyon, of course, which is worth the two-hour trip. Guests can tour the rims or venture down (with proper preparation). Also nearby is the city of Tlaquepaque, a popular 18th century-style Spanish colonial "village" featuring excellent art galleries, boutiques, and cafes. At the Slide Rock State Park, visitors can slide down the 30-foot-long natural rock waterslide into clear pools. At the Jazz Among the Rocks, some of the world's best musicians perform among nature's own. An exicting way to experience this magical land is by jeep, horseback, and helicopter tours. Flagstaff is a charming city only about 30 miles away on historic Route 66. The San Francisco Peaks offer excellent snow skiing in winter. There are a wealth of excellent gourmet restaurants and cafes to discover in the area. |

1500 Kestrel Circle, Sedona, AZ - From the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport: Travel west on I-10 West to I-17 North. Take I-17 North approximately 100 miles to the Sedona Exit 298, Hwy 179. Go northwest on Hwy 179 for approximately 19 miles until it dead-ends at Hwy 89A. Turn left on Hwy 89A and drive for 2.1 miles to Shelby Drive - look for Pizza Hut on the left. Turn left on Shelby Drive and drive approximately 0.2 miles, turning right into Fairfield Sedona on Whippet Way. Take the 2nd right onto Kestrel Circle and proceed to the Activity Center, which is the last building on the right near the end of Kestrel Circle. |
